How it works

1

Sign up & add clients

Choose the number of seats you need. Enter your clients' email addresses to invite them.

2

Clients approve & send

Each client approves the link, then forwards or texts receipts to their own inbox.

3

You see everything

View all client receipts, spending summaries, and books from your advisor dashboard.

What you get

Portfolio dashboard

See all your clients at a glance with total receipts, spending, and activity.

Client management

Add or remove clients with a click. They approve the connection from their email.

Read-only access

View client receipts, categories, and books. You never modify their data.

Covered subscriptions

Your clients' SendToBooks subscription is included in your seat price. No extra cost for them.

Email + SMS capture

Each client gets a unique email address and phone number to forward or text receipts.

Bank reconciliation

Upload your client's bank CSV or PDF (Chase, Amex, Capital One, Wells Fargo, BofA). We auto-match receipts to bank charges, flag discrepancies, and identify missing receipts. One-click "trust bank" updates the receipt with an audit-trail comment.

Per-receipt Q&A

Comment on any receipt to ask your client a question. Standard follow-up prompts ("who attended?", "business purpose?") appear automatically based on receipt type for IRS substantiation.

Kanban workflow

Triage receipts through "Drafts → Needs review → Approved → Exported" stages. Drag-drop between columns. Each client's queue is yours.

Export anytime

Clients can export their receipts as CSV, Excel, or a full archive with images attached.

Professional Plan

Monthly Annual Save 20%

Frequently asked questions

How does client linking work? +
You enter your client's email address from your advisor dashboard. They receive an email asking them to approve the connection. Once approved, you can view their receipts and books from your dashboard. If they don't have a SendToBooks account yet, they'll be invited to create one.
Can clients see my dashboard? +
No. Clients use their own dashboard to view and manage their receipts as usual. They can see that their account is managed by you, but they cannot access your advisor dashboard or see other clients' data.
What happens if a client declines? +
If a client declines the invitation, the request is removed and no data is shared. You can invite them again later if needed. The seat remains available for another client.
Do clients need to sign up first? +
No. You can invite anyone by email. If they don't have an account, they'll receive an invitation to sign up. Once they create their account and approve the connection, they'll appear in your dashboard.
Can I change my seat count later? +
Yes. Your base plan includes 3 client seats. You can add more at $15/month each or reduce back to 3 anytime from the advisor dashboard. Changes are prorated on your next billing cycle.
What does "covered subscription" mean? +
Your $50/month base plan covers your own account plus 3 client seats. Each linked client's personal subscription is included — no extra cost for them. If they were paying individually, their billing pauses at the end of their current period. If you remove a client later, they can choose to subscribe on their own or continue with free email-only receipts.
How does the per-receipt comment thread work? +
Open any receipt and drop a comment — "Was this client-billable?", "Which property?", "Need the W-9". Your client sees it on their dashboard and replies inline. No email back-and-forth, no lost context. For meals, travel, and other categories where the IRS expects substantiation, we suggest the right follow-up questions automatically so nothing gets missed at year-end.
Can I reconcile to a client's bank statement? +
Yes. Upload a CSV or PDF bank statement (any major bank) and we match each transaction to the right receipt automatically. Refunds are detected and linked to the original purchase. You see what's reconciled, what's missing a receipt, and what doesn't have a bank match in one place. See the reconciliation guide for the full flow.
What if a client doesn’t want to text or forward email? +
They use Snap — a private camera page tied to their account that they save to their phone’s home screen. One tap, take a photo, done. No app store, no login, no SMS. It’s the lowest-friction option for clients who hate any kind of bookkeeping workflow.
