Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SendToBooks.com ("Service"), operated by SendToBooks, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

SendToBooks is a receipt capture and expense organization service. You receive a unique email address and phone number to which you (or others on your behalf) can forward email receipts or text photos of receipts. We extract structured data from those receipts and make it available for you to review, categorize, and export.

2. Account and Access

You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
You are responsible for all activity under your account, including receipts sent by others to your unique email address or phone number.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.

3. Subscription and Billing

The Service offers a 21-day free trial. After the trial, a paid subscription ($20/month) is required for full access. Email receipt forwarding continues in free mode after the trial.
Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

4. SMS Terms

By verifying your phone number, you agree to receive SMS messages from SendToBooks including receipt confirmations and account notifications. Message frequency varies based on your usage. Message and data rates may apply.

Text STOP to your assigned SendToBooks number at any time to opt out of SMS messages.
Text HELP for assistance, or email support@sendtobooks.com.
Consent to receive SMS is not required as a condition of purchasing the Service. You may use the email-only features without phone verification.
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Send spam, malware, or abusive content to your SendToBooks email address or phone number.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service.
Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties.

6. Data and Content

You retain ownership of all receipts and data you submit to the Service.
We process your data solely to provide the Service (data extraction, categorization, storage, and export).
We may use third-party services (including AI providers) to extract data from your receipts. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the accuracy of extracted receipt data. You should verify important financial data before relying on it for tax filings or other official purposes. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. If your trial expires and you do not subscribe, your account enters email-only mode. After 90 days in email-only mode without subscribing, your data will be permanently deleted. We will send advance notice before deletion. Upon voluntary account termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
